After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Howard University in Washington, D.C., Ms. Ghant began practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse inpatient, outpatient and community health settings. After sixteen years of providing primary health care to patients from newborns to the elderly, she attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. She graduated with a concentration in Litigation and Advocacy in 2011. While at the University of Baltimore, Ms. Ghant was a Snyder Litigation Fellow, and was selected as Editor of the Journal of Land Development. She maintains active licensure in nursing and is certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

Ms. Ghant’s legal practice initially focused on advocacy for injured workers, medically disabled civilians, and veterans in private practice. She secured worker’s compensation and disability benefits for 100% of her clients, where most had been denied benefits for years. Ms. Ghant also served as an Assistant Public Defender for the Maryland and Georgia Public Defender Councils. There, she provided zealous advocacy for indigent persons accused of crimes.

In 2023, she joined Edmond & Lindsay to leverage her professional nursing experience and staunch advocacy to represent personal injury victims and their families to achieve the best outcome possible in accordance with Georgia law.

Ms. Ghant is a member of the Maryland and Georgia State Bars. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court of Maryland and the United States Court of Veterans’ Appeals. She is also an accredited representative of the Veterans Administration.
